    DVM

Dr. Shoemaker is a native of Northeastern Pennsylvania. He earned an enviromental science degree at St. Joseph's University and attended veterinary school at Oklahoma State University. Following graduation from vet school, Dr. Shoemaker pursed several different aspects of veterinary medicine. These included marine mammal medicine, small animal and large animal emergency medicine, farm calls for large animals and small ruminants, and now, a small animal general practitioner. His interests include surgery, medicine, non-invasive and holistic medicine, and one-health initiative. In his free time, Dr. Shoemaker plays guitar, works on his tennis game, and is always looking for a pickup game of basketball or soccer. The human/animal bond is a unique and important relationship on many different levels. Being a veterinarian allows me to promote and enhance this special bond. .
